Ingredients

♣ 2 tbsp butter
♣ 4 slices of Baguette
♣ 1 cup Colby or Cheddar Cheese, grated
♣ 4 eggs
♣ 2 cups milk
♣ 1/2 tsp dry mustard
♣ Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

Fondue “Baked Cheddar”
First of all preheat oven to 180 C.
Butter both sides of the bread slices and cut each slice into bite-sized cubes. Cover the bottom of your Fondue pot with a layer of bread cubes. Cover the bread layer with 1/2 cheese. Now repeat again bread layer + cheese layer.
Mix milk, eggs, salt, pepper & dry mustard and pour over the top layer of cheese.
Place your Fondue pot in the center of an oven-proof pan and fill the pan with water until you surround about 1/2 height of your cheese pot. Cook uncovered in the oven for about 80 to 90 mins, or until cheese has melted, swollen and become golden on top.
