Fondue “Cheeeesy MiX”
♣1-2 garlic cloves, halved
♣ 350 dl white wine
♣ 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
♣150 gramm (each) of rindless Emmentaler, Gruyère, Beaufort, Comté & Appenzeller, coarsely shredded
♣ 1 tbsp cornstarch
♣ 2 tbsps Kirsch
♣ Salt and freshly ground pepper
♣ Bread & roasted potatoes
Fondue ” Cheeeesy MiX ”
Rub the garlic clove all over the inside of a fondue pot. Add the wine, lemon juice, cornstarch dissolved in a little bit of wine and bring to a boil.
When the wine boils, gradually add the cheese by the handful, whisking constantly until it is fully melted before adding more. Once all of the cheese has melted, simmer the fondue over moderate heat for 1 min, stirring constantly. Add the Kirsch and stir constantly for 1 more min.
Now remove from the heat and season with salt and pepper.
Serve hot, with cubes of bread & roasted potatoes.
Tip 😉
A glass of cool Sauvignon Blanc would give a great additional taste to this Cheeeesy Fondue 😉
