Fondue “Brie & Cheddar Cheese”
♣ 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced
♣ 1-2 tbsp butter
♣ 2/3 cup finely minced onions
♣ 2/3 cup finely minced green peppers
♣ 2 tsps plain flour
♣ 2 cups Brie cheese, rind removed, torn into pieces
♣ 1 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
♣ 1 cup of milk
Pepper to taste
Fondue “Brie & Cheddar Cheese”
Place all the cheese in a bowl and toss together with the flour to coat.
Melt the butter and saute onions, pepper, garlic.
Add the cheese a little at a time on low heat, stirring to melt the cheese evenly.
Add milk to thin the fondue to your desired consistency.
Season with pepper (cheese is quite salty so no more salt should be needed). Pour into a fondue pot if you want to keep the sauce warm at the table.
Serve with slices of crusty bread and roasted potato wedges.
Tip 😉 fruits such as pears, apples and grapes could serve as a great dip too 😉
